If you've given birth in your 40's how old are those babies now?[ 21 vote(s) ]
1.Under 12 months 1 / 5%
2.1-2 years 10 / 48%
3.3-4 years 6 / 29%
4.5-10 years 1 / 5%
5.11 years and up! 0 / 0%
6.Multiple babies since 40! (Feel free to list the ages below in a post!) 3 / 14%

Since I opened up the SheLaughed site after our own little mid-life blessing was born, we've "met" a lot of moms through the site who have had babies born after age 40. I thought it would be fun to get the ages of some of those babies now!

Our own little one will turn 4 years old next month (on March 29th), this is so hard for me to believe! We are enjoying her SO MUCH and I treasure each day spent with her --exploring "new worlds" for the seventh time since becoming a mom. (Isn't it neat how the Lord allows us to make all those discoveries over and over again with each new little one? "Oh, Mommy, look at the shape of those clouds! Aren't they beautiful!" It's impossible to take God's creation for granted when you have a little one who notices all these things. Wink )

I'm looking forward to all the responses!

Okay, Tamara, how do I do this? I've had four since I turned 40. The oldest is now a 6 yo. The twins will be 4 in May. And the baby just turned a year at the end of December. Which one do I get to vote with? Laughing

I've had an 8 year old, a 6 year old and a 4 year old since I've turned 40. We are all enjoying the younger ones development so much...they keep us all laughing!

Our 6yo daughter was born just before my 40th birthday and our 3yo son was born after 40...they have been such joys, and, with their siblings, help keep us "young!" Very Happy

So neat to read this as it's been over three years since I posted this poll. Our precious little mid-life blessing just turned 7 1/2! Smile What a JOY she is!

I pop in here for a little encouragement from time to time - thank you so much for this site, Tamara

My now 8 1/2 yr old daughter was born 2 months before my 40th birthday, then along came a son a few months before my 41st, another son a week after my 43rd and a little girl (now 3 1/2) a couple of weeks after my 45th.

It's an honor, a privilege and great joy to be rearing little ones along with older ones in my 40's and soon 50's!

So good to have you posting, Linda! And how blessed you have been! Smile

Our lives are very different than women whose children have all grown up, but I am thankful to the Lord every day for our precious little mid-life blessing who will turn 8 in March. It's going to be a long time until our nest is empty. Laughing

Just recently we had a conversation after doing an aerobic work out together. She said, "Mommy, I'm not tired at all!" I was obviously exhausted. Wink So I responded, "Well, I'm not surprised, after all I am 4X years older than you are!" She gave me a shocked look and said, "Wow...REALLY?!!! That's a LOT!" Laughing Laughing Laughing

On the whole though she keeps me feeling young! Wink
