Hi, I am Kim! A few months ago, before my 41st birthday, dh said that we should let God be in charge of this area, and voila, here I am.
We felt we were done with our 5(13 yog, 12 yog, 10 yob, 6 yob, and 4 yob) and 2 in Heaven. But, we use NFP with avoidance as our only means of prevention, so I guess in our hearts we weren't closed to the possibility.
I am 8 weeks, with a due date of 4/7/2008. I saw the heartbeat 2 weeks ago, which was a relief, after having had 2 miscarriages previously but know that God is in control of the good, and the bad.
I feel like a first time pregnant mom for some strange reason. Maybe because this is the longest I have gone without being pregnant, or the fact that I got rid of everything except the crib.
Anyway, we feel blessed because it wasn't our deliberate choice, but we left it in God's hands, and He didn't have to allow it to happen.

Hello Ladies,
I am 46, and sit here writing this intro, with a wonderfully swollen belly full of life! Knowing now, that I am not alone!
It has made my heart sing with Joy and thanksgiving to find out there are other women out there who devote their time and energy on making a home and family to the Glory of God.
I have two grown children, who both have children, and my oldest, born in 1979 with spina bifida, died at the age of 25, of cancer. My second born, now 25,and his two children , 4 and 3 are living with us, and my youngest 23 just had her first born, after losing 2, her baby is 7 weeks old and I am due anytime in the next few weeks.
In 1985, after two miscarriages within 3 months and highly stressful living conditions, we were traveling the country with my husbands work as a contracter and living in motel rooms. I had all three kids still in diapers, and my oldest walking with leg braces and a walker. My youngest was 1 year old. My second was 3 and still not potty trained, and my oldest would always be in diapers. My husband was working a 12 hour overnight shift and slept all day(in a motel suite, with 3 kids) I had a complete nervous breakdown and in rebellion and defiance against God, I had my tubes tied. By one year later I already regretted it and the nightmare of symptoms began. I experienced 21 years of cysts, tubal pregnancy's, heavy bleeding, horrendous clots, and unimaginable pain, in my body ,heart and soul.
In Jan of 1989 I rededicated my life and heart back to the Lord and sought forgiveness and healing. In 2007, 21 years and the same month, after I had my tubes tied, I am due to have the babies God showed me I would have, in a dream. In the dream I said it would be a boy and a girl, but the girl first , then the boy. Exactly one year later, my 7 year old son (now 25)had a dream of me having two babys and he said the exact same words, from my dream when he told me about his dream. I took it as confirmation, and rejoiced in the faithfullness of God to fulfill His promise.
It has been a long road with many setbacks and dissapointments and discouragements. God has faithfully chastened and uplifted me as needed, and shown me that disappointment was from having my confidence in "man" rather than in HIM!
When my son and his two toddlers moved in with us , sept of 06, I was so busy taking care of them, I put having a baby out of my mind. That was the last month of nightmare monthly cycles. I began having very light, completely painless cycles that were as much as 6 weeks apart, where they had been 3 weeks apart. I was sure I was going into menopause and when they stopped altogether I resigned to the idea that I was done having children.
I spent 3 months feeling sick and exhausted, and my instinct(heart) was telling me I was pregnant, but my brain kept saying no-way, its just all part of menopause. Then at four months the nausea subsided and I began feeling movement. I blew off those early flutters as "gas", but they kept getting bigger and stronger and one day I was sitting in the rocking chair my husband (of 27 years) bought me for nursing our "faith baby" many, many years ago, and my son had music playing and I noticed the movements were in sync with the music. This baby LOVES music and the sound of race cars on t.v. As the baby has gotten bigger the movements to music, always in rhythm, have become obviously dancing.
I have walked by total faith for the past 17 years, trusting all my cares upon Jesus, King of my heart. He has healed me and restored my strength after every misscariage and even a ectopic pregnancy that went into the 6th month. You have to have faith to believe my testimony because there have been no doctors involved in my life or body for all of the past 17 years.
I am eagarly looking forward to and completly prepared and waiting to have my first home birth.
I home schooled my previous 3 children and look forward with great excitement to homeschooling again, it was the best time of my life. Now I have experience and seeing my other two grown children living productive lives as both their mother and teacher, am very proud of them.
This, even as loooooooooong as it is , is my testimony in a "nutshell" I could write an entire book, and a sequel, of all that God has done in my life since my own birth.
I am honored to be a part of this group of women who Love the Lord and have been blessed to bring up children to serve and Glorify the Holy name of Jesus.
Gods Great mercy , grace and peace be upon all of you sisters in the Lord in Jesus Name!

No, I never had them untied, by a docter, at least. We considered it and discussed it for a time, but decided to leave it in Gods hands and trust His will. He wonderfully created my body, just for me, so I knew He could "fix" , the body He created. It is no big deal for him to remove a little clamp, or even restore tubes or even a womb.He made them in the first place.
If it makes any difference, I did not have my tubes cut, they were clamped but stayed intact. I have learned that it is more common than I ever realized, to get pregnant after a tubal, There is a website called babynamesworld.com and there is a forum all about pregnancy after tubal ligation, I have a post of my testimony on it, and most of the women on it that got pregnant, did not have reversal's done.
All things are possible with God. It does not matter what we are capable of, He is far greater than our ability. He does not require a doctors hand to perform His miracles, He has his own hands, and they are healing, comforting , protecting, guiding , and oh so LOVING!!!!
This is not my first pregnancy since the tubal, but it is the first I have made it this far.
For those of you who do not know it yet, the tubal ligation with the clamps and or rings has about a ten year range of effectiveness.

That's an incredible testimony to God's amazing love and ability. I never had my tubes tied...but I know so many who have and then so regretted it. I will be sure and share your story.

Thank you,Tamara, for your kind and encouraging reply.
Elnunn, your testimony is wonderful. I, too, have a husband who travels for work. We are currently in KS, but are from NJ. My children are full grown and not with us, yet I have been clinging to the Lord during this adjustment.( We just began travelling last month, so it is all new!)
Yesterday was my youngest daughter's b'day(19) and it was the first I wasn't with her. Wow, I was an emotional mess, which surprised me. Probably because I'm due for my monthly in a couple days.
Anyway, thank God for compassionate hubbies.
Love In Him,
Michele

Oh, Paise the Lord, mommycarlo, your words encouraged my heart this morning. It is so wonderful to have confirmation returned that the Lord is at work through our words and our deeds.
I was feeling a little discouraged, due to circumstances in my life that I can do nothing else but trust the Lord, and I was growing weary with the "battle', you gave me a little "boost" in my spirit to keep me going and believing. Thank you and most of all THANK GOD!!!!!
Would you like to be email pals? Its the modern day version of "pen pals". I would be honored to continue correspondence with you. Do you have an email address? If so and you would like to, we can exchange them through private messages, or I think ,havent tryed it yet, we can just push the email button on the post. I wanted to be sure it would be okay with you first though. Love in Jesus, Evelyn

My name is Leah, and I am the blessed mother of six children. I will turn 40 in March, and we are expecting a seventh blessing in September. I guess I joined here a little prematurely, but I'm so excited about this baby!
We haven't told the children yet, of course, but I know they will be excited also. They've been asking me for some time when we're going to have another baby. This one will be the tie-breaker, as we have 3 boys and 3 girls, so both sides will be rooting for one "of their own"! However, our children were also born in boy-girl-boy-girl-boy-girl order, so they pretty much assume that the next baby would be a boy. I guess we'll see!

Welcome to you, Traci! We're also expecting in September, actually on the 25th. However, all of our other six have been early, so I figure I'd better be ready anytime in September!

Hi! I was excited to have found this web-site devoted to Christian women in their 40's trying to get pregnant/are pregnant because that is my situation. My husband and I were busy in our careers and so met and got married later in life. We started our family right away and had our daughter when I was 38. Now at 41 we are trying to have a 2nd child. We believe if it is God's will we can do so naturally without the help of the medical community, who would have us believe otherwise. I have been praying for a year and am trying to remain hopeful. I know with God all things are possible. Thanks for your prayers!
Pam
